The lives of two young men collide in an unexpected way. A war veteran who returns home eager to get back to work on his dream of expanding an after-school program he started with his brother and two close friends, is faced with challenges that could put their program at risk. A confident, new cop attempts to connect with the community as one of the good guys but realizes that he may not be as prepared for the job as he thought. The stories of these two young men unfold as we witness their paths cross and their lives change because of it.
